Bio-soft liners are flushable diaper liners that make clean-up a breeze – this product is the perfect compromise between convenience and cloth diapers. No more rinsing poopy diapers in the toilet! Bio-soft liners absorb the solid waste - and then you simply discard the soiled liner in the toilet and flush away the mess. They are non-irritating and ever so soft and comfortable against baby's sensitive skin.

Our new Bio-soft liners are made of a non woven material with no binder, and will biodegrade very quickly (within 8 days in a sewage treatment system or 20 days in a septic tank). They are 100% viscose rayon, a cellulosic fibre derived from natural sources, and are made to our specifications in England.

Please note that the flushing of any biodegradable diaper liner may cause blockage in old or damaged drains and in sensitive septic systems. Please discard pee soaked liners in the garbage and to let the soiled liners soak a few minutes in the toilet before flushing just so that they absorb water and break down a bit before they are released into the system.

Looking for an unbelievably trim pocket diaper insert without sacrificing absorbency? Thirsties Hemp Inserts are the answer. Made from 4 layers of custom woven hemp/cotton blend in your choice Terry or Fleece. Hemp is perfect for babies with sensitive skin as it is notorious for being naturally anti-microbial which means that it actually repels bacteria! Don't let the trimness of these inserts alarm you. Hemp alone is four times as absorbent than cotton, so Thirsties Hemp Inserts are only 1/8 of an inch thick but can absorb up to amazing 9oz ounces of liquid.
Terry or Fleece? The choice is yours. Some folks prefer the texture of the terry because it helps to keep your insert in place within your pocket diaper. Others prefer fleece mainly because it is softer.

Your Thirsties Cotton Prefolds will arrive somewhat flat and stiff, but will fluff and soften wonderfully after washed (as shown in photos above). All prefolds require pre-washing. The natural oils of cotton is preserved in the natural prefolds. Additional initial washings are required for ideal absorbency in unbleached diapers. Natural prefolds will continue to increase in absorbency and will reach their ultimate absorbency after about 8 washes.

A washing tip: During the initial washes, avoid completely filling your washer with soiled diapers. Keeping your load size to a minimum will reduce friction and thereby prevent unwanted pilling. This tip is especially important for natural (unbleached) prefolds as the textile used to create our natural prefolds is a high quality, minimally processed cotton. You may slowly increase your washer load over time. Any pills that do happen to sneak-up on you will eventually release from your diapers with continued use.

Wow! These covers are amazing! I have not investigated wool as a diaper material b/c of animal cruelty issues. But Recycleze makes old wool sweaters into diaper covers...stuff that would otherwise be thrown away, or hidden in closets for decades! So no animals need to suffer for these covers!

Besides the ethical issues, these covers are really amazing. Even my 22 month old daughter doesn't leak a DROP at night! And I can use the same cover over and over. Now it's accessible to concious consumers!
